1. About this program

Bid Manager is software used by general contractors to invite subcontractors to bid on construction projects. If you are a subcontractor who has been invited to bid, you may choose to receive text message notifications about that project instead of relying only on email.

These messages are transactional and project-related. This is not a marketing program. We do not send promotional or advertising text messages, and we never sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

2. How you opt in

Text messages are sent only to people who have affirmatively opted in. Being in a contractor's address book is not consent, and we do not text anyone who has not taken the step below.

Opt-in happens in the Bid Manager plan room. When you open the invitation link a contractor sent you, you can choose to receive text notifications. This is exactly the form you will see, and the exact consent language it uses:

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies with project activity. Most recipients receive only a few messages per project.

Standard Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile phone service plan. Bid Manager does not charge for text messages.

Help & Stop: Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. Consent is not a condition of bidding and is not required to purchase or receive anything.

Shown for reference. The live form appears in the plan room, which is reached through the private invitation link a contractor sends you.

The consent box is never pre-checked, and consent is never required to bid. You can bid on any project without giving us a phone number, and everything sent by text is also available by email and in the plan room.

3. How you opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. We will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and then stop. You can also email [email protected] and ask us to remove your number.

Opting out of texts does not remove you from a contractor's bid list and does not affect your ability to bid. You will still receive invitations by email.

To resume messages after opting out, reply START or opt in again in the plan room.

4. Getting help

Reply HELP to any message and we will reply with contact information. You can also reach a human at [email protected].

5. Example messages

Bid Manager: Bids for Sioux County Maintenance Facility are due tomorrow at 4:00 PM. [link] Reply STOP to opt out.
Bid Manager: You are unsubscribed and will receive no further texts. Reply START to resume. Email [email protected] for help.

6. Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that any message arrives. Do not rely on text messages alone for bid deadlines. The plan room and the emailed invitation are the authoritative source for project documents and due dates.

Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and others. Availability may vary.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provide. If you give up a number, please opt out first so the next person to hold it does not receive messages meant for you.

8. Privacy

Phone numbers submitted for text notifications are used only to send the messages described here. We do not sell phone numbers, and we do not share them with third parties for marketing. Numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
